Description: SBI Card is one of the better Cards so far as the Balance Transfer facility is concerned. Find below the details. It may help you deciding which Card to use for your Balance Transfers.
- Applicable Charges: Fee of 1% of the Balance Transfer Amount or Rs. 199 (whichever is higher) will be applicable to all the Balance Transfers. Service tax extra, if applicable.
- Interest Rates: 0% interest for the first 90 days on the entire Balance Transfer. If you require a Balance Transfer for more than 3 months then you may go for athe plan for 6 months. Here you'll be charged 0.99% interest for 6 months, but you won't require to pay any Processing Fee under this plan.
- Days Required: You're expected to receive the cheque within 10 working days. Give yourself little more days just to be on the safe side.
- How to Apply for BT: You can either apply online or can fill and mail the duely completed Balance Transfer Request Form.

if u go for 3 months then only it's worth trying. they charge interest on interest after that so better avoid extending it more than 3 months.

You're right. I too personally feel the same and I've written that in the post as well. People having more than one credit cards may think of clubbing this facility on 2-3 cards to get an effectively extended period. But, it's always advisable to try not to spend something where you need to use this for more than 3 months.
